Rewarding 5 years of loyalty: How our Head of People & Engagement enjoyed her sabbatical this summer

One of the many benefits here at San-iT is that longer -serving members of staff are rewarded for their hard work and loyalty to the company with a 4-week paid sabbatical after 5 years of employment.   I was lucky enough to travel to France with my husband and two children for my sabbatical last month. We travelled all over France via various modes of transport, starting off in Paris, then on to Bordeaux, the Dordogne and then to the south, just outside Biarritz.

Highlights of the trip included scaring myself senseless on the rollercoasters at Disneyland, visiting some beautiful vineyards in St Emilion and sampling some amazing wine & food. We were lucky enough to visit some beautiful cities and see some fabulous architecture. Our trip ended with some of our family joining us for a camping trip at the end of the holiday.

It wasn’t all baguettes and champagne; we certainly had a few ups and downs on our adventure and my A-level French isn’t nearly good as I thought it was (I did find, however, it did improve after a couple of glasses of red wine
