Adam, Managed Services Engineer
I am a Managed Services Engineer at San-iT and have been working with the company since late 2017.
Like some of the other team members, I started off as an apprentice and have worked my way up. Working at San-iT is the only experience I have in the field and I’m still learning every day. My particular expertise is hardware and knowing what is going on inside a computer.
It’s my job make sure calls and tickets are answered and effectively resolved in a timely manner. I very much approach things from the people side first rather than the technical side. It’s important in this job to connect with the people we’re helping and to keep things human, avoiding the tech jargon. I take my job seriously, making sure I approach the role with professionalism and a little bit of charisma!
I like to work hard and play hard. Just because we’re working to the best of our ability doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy a laugh and a joke here and there, and that’s one of the great things about San-iT. It’s a family. We’re are all there for each other, without egos or judgment. The hard work pays off. You get rewarded and your work gets recognised, and at the end of the day that means everyone is happy.
The people I work with are one of the many reasons I love my job at San-iT, as well as the ever-expanding horizons of technology. There is always something new to sink your teeth into – whether that be new hardware or a certain change to specific systems, there’s always a challenge and every day is unique.
When I’m not hard at work, I love TV and movies, as well as gaming. And socialising with mates, of course, for a few drinks or playing hard on a night out.
