Mitchell, Managed Services Engineer
I’m a Managed Service Engineer. I started working for San-iT in September 2021.
Before working at San-iT, I worked within a small team doing 1st line support for an internal organisation. After doing that for a year, I decided to make the move to an MSP, where I was able to learn a vast amount more, which allowed me to progress into a 1st/2nd line role at San-iT.
To start off my day, I usually go through my queue and pickup any tickets that haven’t been picked up in the unassigned queue. When the phone rings it’s my responsibility to make sure I deliver good customer service and gather all the correct details for the ticket.
I’m trained in supporting clients remotely and because I drive, I can attend site visits when needed. Meeting clients and building relationships is my favourite part of the job.
My team and I work closely together and as equals. This allows me to ask questions I might not know the answers to and 9 times out of 10 get the answer I need. My area of expertise are Windows desktop support, Office 365 support and knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware.
In my daily life I’m very chilled out and relaxed and this carries over to my work life too. I try to stay as organised as possible which helps a lot when working in the IT industry. I gel well with the team and bring good energy. The environment and atmosphere in the office is like no other. The employees at San-iT are all brilliant in their own way. Although I’m relatively new, I feel like I have been there for years.
As much as I love working in IT, outside of work I spend most of my time playing games and meeting up with mates at the local pub. I love listening to music, and one day I would love to learn how to play some musical instruments.
